Film Project Planning #2

You Get Me
This film was a Netflix presented film. Awesomeness Films and Netflix presents were featured in the opening credits as the production. Some filming techniques that were used was a voice over and multiple wide shots to show basically is was summer and the voice over explained it was summer as well. There were no jobs in the opening credits, and the film was not nominated nor did it win any awards. The voice over in the films tells us about the main character and his friends and jobs as well as his girlfriend nothing more than that. The only thing that is expressed is his love for his girlfriend and how summer was coming to an end. The characters names are not presented in the opening credits but are presented in the voice over.

Project Selection- My Final Decision

I decided on the film project. The film project is what I feel is best for me to succeed the most in. I think I have more skills to do the film project than the magazine project. I would be able to show the camera shots and angles and different sounds by doing the film, and show how well i can present them to an audience.

Project Selection- My Decision

There isn't much of a decision yet, I like both project idea yet I am indecisive. I like the Magazine project solely because the photography part, taking pictures of other people and myself is something I am good at. I have no professional training in photography but it is something that I enjoy doing. I lack in the creative ideas though; finding other things to write about besides the central meaning of the magazine will be what I struggle with. If I were to do a magazine I would do a sports magazine or a fashion magazine. I"m interested in sports and I love fashion and I have lots of friends who are into the same things and are somewhat fashionable enough to be models and I have friends who play high-school football and basketball etc. The film projects interests me as well and I lean towards this project more than the magazine project. The film project will allow me to show my ability to convey the camera shots and angles as well as sound etc. As far as the film project, my project genre would be drama, just drama. Drama films, I believe, show lots of different angles and would make my project strong and I would be able to show I know a little about the film production and doing all the directing as well.

Project Selection-Film

The directing process of Ferris Bueller, All the President's Men, and The Newsroom made the film project most interesting to me. When getting into the scenes of all of those film, the directing process seemed to be the most nerve wrecking, and you produce some of your best work under pressure because you know it must be good. Looking inside the episodes the directors faced challenges that all turned out to work out in their favor when a little negotiation and conversation was put into perspective. T produce a good film you have to be able to come up with great writing and a intriguing story line. Producing interesting writing would be my strong point. Coming up with anecdotes and fiction is my best ability when it comes to writing. The challenge I may face when creating the film is the editing. Piecing everything together to make sure everything fits and works well together. Editing has to be the most difficult, making sure sound is right, creating good angles, and expressing the angles in the manner that I need to make my film a good film would be the challenge.

Project Selection-Magazine

Aspects of print journalism that interest me would be the interrogation process or the interviewing process. Having to go out and seek people to strengthen the article. What also interests me is being able to share stories that I feel are important with the person that is being interviewed. Using this method of anecdotes could possible spark information from the person that is being interviewed an they could share is with the interviewer and this would strengthen the article as well. The skills I have that can positively influence the magazine is asking questions. Dull and bromidic question make the interview vague and not very intriguing. Therefore, producing good and adequate questions could also make the magazine a plus. The only challenge I would face with the magazine would be finding other things besides interviews to write about. As you know, magazines have more than just questionnaires, they have ads and more like fun facts throughout the magazine. Producing those would be the challenge for myself.
